Eat. Run. Hope. SUCCESS!

Eat. Run. Hope. was a great success. It was so much fun to be a part of the event AND have so many Sync faces out there.

Some special acknowledgments:

*Jasmine P was the first Sync Fitter to cross the finishline. Erika P was hot on her tail. This was Jasmine’s first race.

*This was Lisa J’s first 5K in 18 years. She rocked it.

*This was Sandy’s first 5K, as well. Just a few weeks ago she ran her first half mile. And now she’s up to 3!

*Kristin K and Gary T pushed their kiddos in joggers the whole way. Those joggers crushed that hill, running the whole time!

*Annie G pushed her twins in a double jogger for their first 5K.

*Vinnie D (my hubs) ran his first 5K and beat me!

Most importantly, Angela and Ethan met all their goals:

*They raised over $60,000 for the Fetal Hope Foundation in honor of their boys, Nathanael and Gabriel.

*They had over 500 runnners and walkers.

*They sold out the Chef’s Tent.

*They raised a ton of awareness about fetal conditions and created an event that was really fun and full of joy. Everyone left ready to sign up for next year. Surely they will have to double the size of the Chef’s Tent!!

*Oh, and the food??? AH-MAZING.

Sadly, I somehow deleted a bunch of photos that I took right after the finishline. Yes, I’m new to digital cameras…. Here’s what was left from a bit later in the day:

Boot Campers Annie and Yvette

Vinnie D and me – our first race together!

Vince with a very serious Ethan Stowell

With the Lovely Angela Stowell

You can tell Angela and I are much more sophisticated than our husbands. Hee hee.

It was a fantastic day for Fetal Hope and for the Stowells. I’m really looking forward to supporting this event again next year. I hope you’ll be there to run & EAT with me!
